Planning Restricted-Access Work

The Pro Expose truck is approximately 2.1 metres wide. Vehicle access, parking, operating clearance and the proposed truck position must be checked before booking.

The suction hose is approximately 90 mm in diameter. Where the truck cannot physically enter, the hose may reach the restricted work area from a suitable accessible truck position, subject to hose length, route and safe setup. For suitable tight-access jobs, a portable trolley-mounted vacuum unit under 600 mm wide can pass through suitable 900 mm gates, subject to site assessment.

Review the truck and equipment section, then send access measurements and photos so the proposed setup can be assessed.

Northern Beaches Vac Truck Questions

Do you provide vac truck hire across the Northern Beaches?

Yes. Pro Expose services Manly, Brookvale, Dee Why, Freshwater, Balgowlah, Frenchs Forest, Collaroy, Narrabeen, Warriewood, Mona Vale and surrounding Northern Beaches areas from its Merrylands base. Pro Expose operates 24/7; call to confirm availability and dispatch timing for your site.

Can your suction hose reach restricted-access areas?

Yes, subject to hose length, access and safe setup. The truck is approximately 2.1 metres wide and must remain in a suitable accessible position. Its suction hose is approximately 90 mm in diameter and can reach restricted work areas where the truck cannot physically enter. For suitable jobs, an under-600 mm trolley-mounted vacuum unit can enter through suitable 900 mm gates, subject to site assessment. Send access measurements and photos so the setup can be checked before booking.

What information do you need to prepare a quote?

Provide the site address and suburb, work type and scope, access dimensions, parking or truck-position details, photos, preferred timing, site-contact details, known underground services, and the material or estimated volume to be removed if known. This helps Pro Expose check the equipment and prepare a written quote.

What is the difference between vacuum excavation and non-destructive digging?

Vacuum excavation describes the process of using suction to remove loosened material. Hydro excavation uses pressurised water to loosen soil before vacuum removal. Non-destructive digging, or NDD, is the broader term commonly used for controlled excavation methods around buried utilities. The terms often overlap when water-assisted vacuum excavation is used for service exposure.
