This policy explains what personal information Pro Expose Hydro Vacs collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the website proexposehydrovacs.com and to enquiries made through it. In this policy, “Pro Expose”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pro Expose Hydro Vacs, ABN 30 645 928 838, based in Merrylands NSW 2160 and providing vacuum excavation and related services across Greater Sydney.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements and this Privacy Policy.

3. The information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
When you complete a quote or contact form on this website, or when you call, text or email us, we may collect:
- your name;
- your phone number;
- your email address, where you provide one;
- the suburb, address or location of the job;
- the service you are enquiring about;
- any details you include about the job, the site, access or timing; and
- photographs of the site or job that you choose to upload through a form, or send to us by text message, multimedia message or email.
Please only send photographs you are entitled to share. Site photographs can incidentally include other information — a vehicle registration plate, a street number, a person in frame. We use what you send for the purpose you sent it for, as described in section 4.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some technical information automatically:
- Server and delivery logs. Our hosting provider records requests made to the site, which can include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser user-agent string.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and which calls-to-action are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on your device for this purpose.
- Device and browser information. Analytics and logs may record your device type, screen size, operating system, browser and language.
3.3 Cookies and local storage
Cookies. The analytics described above set first-party cookies. If you would prefer not to be measured, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s own opt-out tools. Blocking cookies does not stop you using this site.
Local storage. The site stores two small preference values in your browser’s
local storage (pe-mascot-enabled and pe-mascot-pos). These remember
whether you have dismissed or moved the on-screen guide character. They contain no personal
information, are never sent to us, and are cleared when you clear your browser storage.
4. Why we use your information
We use personal information to:
- prepare and provide quotes;
- assess site access, scope and equipment suitability before a booking;
- arrange, schedule and carry out bookings and services;
- communicate with you about an enquiry, a quote, a booking or a job in progress;
- issue invoices and keep business records;
- respond to questions, feedback and complaints;
- keep the website secure and working correctly, including detecting and preventing spam and misuse; and
- understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the details from your enquiry to send you unrelated marketing.
5. Who we share information with
We may disclose personal information to:
- Subcontractors and operators engaged for your job, where the job details, site address and access requirements are needed to quote or carry out the work;
- Service providers who run parts of this website, as described in section 6;
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant or insurer, where reasonably required; and
- Others where required or authorised by law, or where you have asked us to.
6. Third-party services this website uses
We keep third-party services to the minimum the site needs. The services currently in use are:
- Netlify — website hosting, content delivery and form handling. Enquiries submitted through a form on this site are transmitted and stored through Netlify’s form service before reaching us.
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics, as described in section 3.2.
- Google reCAPTCHA — used on the homepage quote form to distinguish genuine enquiries from automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects device and interaction information for that purpose.
- Google Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google’s font service, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Google Maps and Google Business Profile — the site links to our Google Business Profile. Following one of those links takes you to Google, where Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
Where the site displays Google reviews, the review content is retrieved by us from Google before the page is published. Retrieving reviews does not involve sending your information to Google, and reviewing the site is entirely voluntary. Reviews are published on Google by the people who wrote them; if you choose to leave a review, that is a transaction between you and Google and is governed by Google’s terms.
These providers have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle information they collect.
7. Overseas storage and processing
Some of the providers listed in section 6 are based outside Australia, or use infrastructure outside Australia. This means information collected through this website — including form submissions, analytics data and server logs — may be stored or processed overseas, including in the United States. By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that your information may be handled outside Australia.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes serving the site over HTTPS, limiting who can access enquiry records, and keeping the information only as long as we need it.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet or by message, and you send it at your own risk.
9. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and job information for as long as we need it for the purposes in section 4, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep business records or may need it in connection with a claim. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details.
10. Accessing, correcting and deleting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. You can also ask us to delete information we hold about you. Contact us using the details in section 2.
We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request, and there are situations where we may not be able to delete everything — for example where we are required to keep a record. If that applies, we will tell you why.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details in section 2 so we can look into it. Tell us what happened and what you would like us to do.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
12. Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including Before You Dig Australia, SafeWork Australia, the Australian Business Register, our Google Business Profile and our Facebook page. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. Their own policies apply once you leave this site.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, the services we use, or our practices. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the “last updated” date above tells you when it last changed.
